Te Puna Hihiko has been created to provide a simple introduction to Māori language, culture and protocol. Although designed particularly for Massey University staff, Te Puna Hihiko can provide a useful insight into te ao Māori - Māori perspectives. A "Puna" is a water spring. "Hihiko" literally means "brisk, cheerful, and inspired" and infers a sense of positive energy, innovation and creativity.
